Chris Cluett, USA Chris joined the Board of Future Generations in 2000 and has been a member of both Future.edu and Future.org. He worked in Nepal as a community development adviser for five years and has traveled extensively in developing countries. He has a Ph.D. in Sociology and was a Research Scientist with Battelle Memorial Institute for 35 years before he retired.

Firew Kefyalew, Africa Firew is an Ethiopian with over 30 years of experience in program/project development/management, capacity building, teaching research & documentation, counseling, and leadership in multi-cultural environments. He received his B.A. degree in Educational Psychology from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia in 1985 and M.A. in Educational Psychology from the same University in 1994.

Laura Altobelli, Peru Dr. Altobelli applies over 30 years of experience in research, evaluation, and public policy innovation and advocacy. She has designed planned, managed, and tested field demonstrations of scalable solutions for strengthening public health systems in developing counties, demonstrating effectiveness of community-based primary health care models. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health with both her M.P.H and her Dr.P.H

M.Zakir Stanikzai, Afghanistan Mr.Stanikzai is a Rural Development professional, with over 15 years of experience gained in the national and international NGOs, UN, from field level rural development project operations to public policy support and processes and organizational management. He has a Master's degree in Applied Community Change from Future Generations University.

Sabina Robillard, Haiti Sabina is a co-founder of Future Generations Haiti and an alumna of the Future Generations Graduate School who is currently pursuing her Doctorate at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy in Boston, Massachusetts. Her expertise is in humanitarian accountability, community engagement, and locally-led peacebuilding and disaster response

Uchenna Rowland Onyeizu, Nigeria Uchenna is a university lecturer, with a doctoral degree in environmental forest ecology. He is an international development professional with over 17 years experiences in social development work and has worked at least once in each of the 36 Nigerian states as an Independent Consultant providing various studies including Environmental Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Baseline Studies and many more.

Isaac Bekalo – Addis Ababa Ethiopia Born in Ethiopia, and from that pursuing deep grounding in solving the challenges of rural life. Isaac trained in the Philippines in Organizational Development. Isaac is currently President of the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction.

Chris Cluett – Seattle, WA A distinguished sociologist of people and transportation, Chris had a long career with the Batelle Corporation. Continuing from his Peace Corps, then USAID assignments in Nepal in the 1960s, Chris has remained active with Nepal.

Shannon Bell – Blacksburg VA As a Master’s degree student in Future Generations University, Shannon’s career in sociology went on to focus on solutions for women by women engaging with the coal industry. She is now an Associate Professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Kent Spellman – Fairmont WV Coming to West Virginia for public service, Kent moved across the linkage between for profit and not-for-profit. He spent two decades developing the West Virginia Community Development HUB to gather help for West Virginia communities.

Michael Stranahan – Denver CO Engaged for four decades with making education useful, after his education at Harvard, Mike, started as a teacher of mathematics then continued as host on Aspen Public Radio as well as to mentor children in pottery.

Daniel C. Taylor – Franklin WV Growing up in India, Dan’l moved to West Virginia in the 1970s, co-founding The Mountain Institute, then national parks around Mt Everest, and from this West Virginia base he has launched the global family of Future Generations organizations. Deepak Gopalakrishna – Washington, DC An experienced analyst of social systems and their interactions with financing frameworks, Deepak has worked in both business development and academia. In his role on the Board of Trustees, Deepak serves as Treasurer.
